A Boost to Green Transition in Farming

The fast-growing startup ruumi moved to Denmark in 2022. Now ruumi has a running innovation project with financial support from Innovation Fund Denmark and its Innobooster program.
The ambition with the Innobooster-project is to create a digital solution to assist farmers on an international scale to reduce the environmental footprint of production and at the same time make sure that farmers are reimbursed by Carbon Credits.
Today the carbon credit system is virtually inaccessible for the individual farmer due to its complexity and restricted access to carbon credit buyers. Monitoring and verification of Carbon Credits are done manually by visiting the physical premises of the farmer. At the site all data-points are collected by the individual farmer.
The lack of fully digitalized solutions makes it hard for the individual farmer to document sustainable green practices and access the verification of Carbon Credits.
ruumi’s ambition is to create an effective and intelligent infrastructure to accelerate the green transition. This includes automating the farm data collection for continuous and automated monitoring of Carbon Credit actions in livestock production, without the redundant manual efforts from the farmers.
