Horizon Europe
ET4D is a new crossnational research project funded by ICT-AGRI-FOOD and Horizon Europe.
The project is about adapting new technologies in the dairy sector with a focus on better animal welfare, as well as climate and environmental friendliness.
The project began on 1 October 2023 and will run for 3 years.
The aim of the project is to:
1) Validate and extend the reporting framework for a new data management system (DMS) with embedded sensors for use in dairy production to collect and process data from dairy farms.
2) Demonstrate the applicability of the system in real word application by implementing it in commercial farms in various countries with different climatological and socio-economic boundary conditions.
3) Identify information requirements from different interest groups and demonstrate the potential added value of sharing information between farmers and other interest groups.
The project brings together experts from 11 countries representing 6 EU (Germany, Hungary, Denmark, Estonia, Poland and Finland) and 2 non-EU countries (Turkey and Israel).
In Denmark, the ICT-AGRI-FOOD is administrated by the Green Development and Demonstration Programme, GUDP. The Danish participants are Aarhus University and Innvite ApS.
