We produce waste like never before. But how do we reduce the negative effects that waste creates for our environment and climate?
At WasteHero, they are the leading experts in developing digital solutions for more climate- and environmentally conscious waste management.
Today, Wastehero delivers solutions for dynamic waste management that optimize the physical collection of waste in several municipalities in Denmark. WasteHero also delivers their solutions to over 50 countries worldwide.
Now the vision in a new Innobooster project is to significantly reduce CO2 emissions from waste management by lowering society’s transport needs and the derived CO2 emissions. This is done with effective data collection, data analysis and predictive algorithms that help waste disposal companies develop optimal emptying patterns and use intelligent route planning.
The goal is to develop a complete database-based system where all critical data is stored and analyzed in relation to all future driving patterns, work processes, assets and usable resources. At the same time, the optimal locations and sizes for the individual recycling station and depots are analyzed and calculated. In addition, there are optimal placements of larger containers such as publicly placed bottle and waste containers.
It is an important ambition for WasteHero to create the greatest possible value through international expansion and thereby ensure new Danish exports of climate-friendly solutions.
